The house is located 2 blocks from the ocean, at the corner of Chesapeake St. and Bayard Ave in Dewey Beach.
Once you are are Rte MD-404E, there are several routes you can take to get to Rte 1S, including staying on MD 404/18 or taking MD-16E or MD-14E.

 

 

What are some good places to eat nearby?


  • Fifer's Market is on the corner, two short blocks away... great for last-minute groceries and sandwiches, to include breakfast sandwiches

  • Best crab cakes in town:  Go for Woody's in Dewey in walking distance from the house, right on Rte 1       
  • If you like pizza, we love Nicola Pizza on Rehoboth Ave.  You can dine in or pick-up carry-out. Try the Nic-o-boli folded pizza.   Be advised:  It gets very crowded in the summer.                                              
  • There are lots of great restaurants in Rehoboth, including two excellent ones (plan ahead if you are going in season as they get crowded) Salt Air Kitchen, Henlopen Oyster House (way more than oysters), 208 Social.  All these are within walking distance, or take the Jolly Trolley! 
  • If you are coming home from the outlets at lunch or dinner-time, there is a delicious Italian deli/restaurant on Rte 1 (next to Outlet Liquors),  Touch of Italy, for dining in or take-out.                      
  • Another stand-by that does get crowded is Big Fish Grill, also on Rte 1/Coastal Hwy
